While there was no general parking directly at the venue, several nearby parking options were available, complemented by free shuttle services to transport attendees to the festival seamlessly. The only parking available at the event was reserved for drivers with reduced mobility. Additionally, attendees had the unique option to arrive by boat, enhancing the scenic and experiential value of the journey.
Cashless Payments
The event was entirely cashless, with payments accepted via card or MB Way, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience for all attendees.

The Douro Valley is renowned for its rich wine history, and this festival is a perfect celebration of its heritage. The region’s picturesque landscapes and beautiful vineyards provided a stunning backdrop for the event, making it a must-visit for wine lovers.
Personal Experience at the Douro & Porto Wine Festival 2024
Attending the festival on July 6th was a decision driven by my love for wine and Vance Joy. I went with friends, and we parked in Cambres, where we immediately hopped on a shuttle to the festival. The compact layout of the event allowed us to see the stage as soon as we entered, adding to the excitement.
Wine Tasting
The wine stands offered a range of prices, from €3 to €7 per glass. A reusable wine glass, priced at €3, could be rinsed at several washing stations before sampling the next wine, promoting sustainability. I had the chance to try sangria and three different wines, with my favorite stands being Vallegre and Quinta da Pacheca.
Food Options
Food stands provided a variety of options to cater to all tastes. I enjoyed a delicious focaccia, a burger, and fries, which paired perfectly with the wines.
The combination of exquisite wines, delightful food, and captivating music created a magical evening that exceeded all expectations. If I have the chance to go next year, I would love to stay the night in Peso da Régua, which is super close to the event, or in Lamego. The region is beautiful and perfect for a weekend getaway.

The Douro & Porto Wine Festival 2024 is still relatively unknown, making it a hidden gem for those who appreciate unique and intimate wine events. The festival was a spectacular celebration of wine, food, and music. Mark your calendars for next year and experience the enchanting Douro Valley for yourself.
